Opt-in Proof — Standalone SMS Consent (Not Part of Terms of Service)

SMS consent is collected separately from our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Users must check a dedicated SMS-only checkbox before the “Send verification code” button becomes active. Accepting the Terms of Service does not enroll the user in the SMS program.

This SMS consent is separate from the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy above.

When you tap “Send code”, we send one SMS with a 6-digit verification code (via Twilio). Account verification only — no marketing. Reply STOP to opt out; HELP for help.

The same standalone SMS opt-in block appears on: phone login (OTP tab), forgot-password (phone), and bind-phone in Member Center — each with its own SMS-only checkbox before sending a code.

1. Program Description

KFOX.AI ("we", "our", or "the Service") operates an AI-powered e-commerce content generation platform available at https://kfox.ai. As part of our user authentication system, we use SMS messages to deliver one-time passwords (OTP) for the following purposes only:

  • Account registration verification (new user sign-up)
  • Login authentication (passwordless login via SMS code)
  • Password reset
  • Verifying a phone number that an existing user binds to their account

We do not send marketing, promotional, or advertising SMS messages. Each SMS contains a 6-digit numeric code valid for 10 minutes, and is sent only in direct response to a user-initiated action on our website.

2. How Users Opt In

Users opt in through a standalone SMS consent checkbox that is visually and functionally separate from Terms of Service and Privacy Policy acceptance. The SMS checkbox must be checked before the user can tap “Send verification code” on:

  • Phone registration (kfox.ai/register → Phone tab)
  • Phone login OTP (kfox.ai/login → Phone → Verification code tab)
  • Forgot password via phone
  • Bind phone in Member Center (authenticated users)

Checking the Terms of Service / Privacy Policy box does not constitute SMS opt-in. SMS consent is recorded separately in our audit log (accept_method: phone_signup_sms_opt_in).

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency depends entirely on user activity. A typical KFOX.AI user receives 1–5 SMS messages per month, sent only when the user actively requests one (e.g. by clicking "Send verification code" during login or password reset).

We enforce strict rate limits on our backend: no more than 1 SMS per 60 seconds, 5 SMS per hour, and 10 SMS per 24 hours to the same phone number.

4. Sample Messages

Below are the exact templates we send. Each message uses the [KFOX] brand prefix:

  • [KFOX] Your registration code is 482915. Valid for 10 minutes. Do not share.
  • [KFOX] Your login code is 391027. Valid for 10 minutes. Do not share.
  • [KFOX] Your password reset code is 716045. Valid for 10 minutes. Do not share.
  • [KFOX] Your phone binding code is 230894. Valid for 10 minutes. Do not share.

Messages are localized to the user's language preference (English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese). The content (6-digit code, validity period, do-not-share notice) is identical across all locales.

5. Stopping Messages (Opt-out)

To stop receiving SMS messages from KFOX.AI, users can take any of the following actions, all of which are immediately effective:

  • Reply STOP to any SMS message received from our sending number. This will immediately unsubscribe the phone number and prevent further messages.
  • Remove the phone number from your KFOX.AI account by logging in and navigating to Member Center → Account → Unbind phone number.
  • Contact support at admin@kfox.ai with the subject "SMS opt-out" to have your phone number removed manually within 24 hours.

Once opted out, users will not receive any further SMS messages from KFOX.AI unless they re-opt-in by entering their phone number on the website again.

6. Help & Support

For help with SMS messages or any KFOX.AI service issue:

Message and data rates may apply, depending on the user's mobile carrier and plan. KFOX.AI is not responsible for charges levied by mobile carriers.

7. Privacy & Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, lease, or share phone numbers with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected through this program are used solely for the authentication purposes described above.

Phone numbers are transmitted to our SMS service provider (Twilio Inc.) strictly for the purpose of delivering the OTP message to the user. We do not authorize Twilio or any other party to use, sell, or share the phone numbers for any other purpose.

8. Carrier Disclaimer

Carriers (mobile network operators) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
